PROJECT NAME
Merchant Portal
ROLE
UX/UI Designer
DATE
Jan 2024 – June 2024
Edenred is a company that provides digital voucher services. Merchants can issue digital vouchers from their brands and use the merchant portal to manage vouchers through the services from Edenred.
In this project, we developed the dashboard, order, and reimbursement features for the merchant portal by using the new branding style guide.
My Role
& Team
I worked as a UX/UI designer in the design team. In this project, we had the design team, PM, finance, and merchant team collaborate closely.
Problem
We got lots of feedback from the merchants saying that, unlike other competitors, the merchant portal from our company doesn't do much; the current merchant portal that provides redemption and sales reports cannot fulfill merchants' needs anymore.
How might we make our product more competitive?
Solution
We decided to develop a dashboard feature that provides data on customer insights to our merchants.
Planning & Early Ideation
After discussing with the merchant & sales teams, we have concluded the data that merchants might want to see are:
Sales performance
The monthly sales data throughout the years and compare it with the competitors from the same industry
Sales type
The sales channel distribution: to end users, partner programs, or enterprise
Products ranking
Ranking of the sales of the merchants' vouchers
Active products
The status of the product-based vouchers
Prototype testing
We interviewed 7 merchants who were the key users of the merchant portal and showcased the prototype of the dashboard feature, overall they are quite satisfied with this new feature.
Final Design & Adjustment
Takeaway & user feedback
Since the dashboard feature needed to take more development resources, the development dashboard feature was postponed at the end, the team decided to work on other small features first.
However, we did talk to PM & the development team to make sure that we can make the dashboard work technically and get the data from our database.
We also showcased the final version of the dashboard prototype to the merchant team and got positive feedback from the existing merchants saying that the feature would make them want to keep using our products and they would be willing to pay for the dashboard feature.
